Hallo Binnenschifffreunde,
nach dem GEORG HERMANN hier noch ein alter LZR Sandfahrer, den es schon lange nicht mehr gibt; der ZUFRIEDENHEIT von Kitzingen (oder doch Bamberg?!), aufgenommen in der Schleuse Gerlachshausen. Verbleib unbekannt.

...wenn ich mich recht erinnere hiess das letzte für den Ludwigskanal gebaute Schiff ebenfalls ZUFRIEDENHEIT. 1936 wurde es in Erlenbach gebaut. Von der Größe her käme das hin. Evtl. ist es dasselbe Schiff, wobei ich auch schon Infos gelesen habe, dass die 'Erlenbacher' ZUFRIEDENHEIT nach Bamberg verkauft wurde. Aber das ist alles wirklich schon sehr speziell... ...Ende der 70er Jahre wurde ein altes LDMK Schiff aus dem Bamberger Hafen 'entfernt' - leider etwas vor meiner Zeit, darum kann ich nicht mehr genau sagen welches es war, aber es könnte der ZUFRIEDENHEIT gewesen sein (der Optik nach - man beachte den charakteristischen 'Knick' im Dennebaum, auch andere Details stimmen genau überein). (Und wenn nicht müssen wir dieses Thema irgendwann wieder auseinader nehmen). Gruß - Ronald;-)

Den Schleppzylinder habe ich doch auf den ersten Blick glatt übersehen, weil es aussieht, als stünde da irgendeine Tonne an der Schleuse. Aber die Strangabweiser hinten fallen auf (das Heck sieht etwas komisch aus, weil eine Tür aufsteht) und DANN sieht man auch den Schleppzylinder. Schade, daß man nicht weiß, was da dranhängt, vielleicht ein LDMK-Kahn?

...was man manchmal so alles entdeckt; in einer alten Broschüre der R.M.D. Ag gibt es dieses Bild (Ausschnitt) von der VD Lände in Viereth-Trosdorf (vor der Gebietsreform gehörte das - glaube ich - noch zu Bischberg). Vor allem der hintere Bereich sieht unserem ZUFRIEDENHEIT sehr, sehr ähnlich. Am Vorschiff hat sich ein Retuscheur ausgetobt, der offensichtlich von dem Schiff keine Ahnung hat und deshalb die Beurteilung zunichte gemacht.
